Susan Adams

Susan Adams is a Partner practicing in the area of commercial litigation, with a particular focus in antitrust and energy litigation. Susan represents clients in a broad range of industries, including oil and gas, manufacturing, financial services, security services, governmental entities and educational institutions.

She has advocated for her clients in federal jury and bench trials, as well as in oral argument on appeal. Susan has experience representing clients at all stages of litigation in both state and federal court at the trial court and appellate level. She also has experience counseling clients in antitrust compliance and government investigations.

  • Representation of multiple energy companies in various oil and gas title, royalty, and breach of lease claims, including such issues as:
    • Royalty calculation disputes, including disputes involving tax issues, deduction of post-production costs, and calculation of overriding royalty interests
    • Failure to develop claims
    • Improper pooling and unit formation claims
    • Joint Operating Agreement and Area of Mutual Interest disputes
    • Defense of multiple title dispute matters involving plaintiffs’ aggressive pursuit of ancient title issues
    • Defense of class action title disputes
• Antitrust Representation
  • Representation of building product manufacturer in multiple price-fixing civil cases and government investigations, including multi-district litigation class-actions and opt-out cases
  • Representation of financial institution in price-fixing cases involving the foreign exchange and derivatives markets, including multi-district litigation class actions
  • Representation of medical device manufacturer in monopolization, false advertising, and patent infringement litigation
  • Representation of dental device manufacturer in monopolization and false advertising litigation
  • Provide antitrust counseling and guidance to construction equipment manufacturer

  • Representation of educational institution in multiple matters including breach of contract, deceptive trade practices, personal injury and premises liability litigation
  • Representation of mortgage lenders, servicers, and investors in consumer finance disputes in state and federal court
  • Pro bono representation of multiple nonprofit organizations as general counsel, including advising or coordinating advice on transactions, corporate formation and governance, labor and employment, tax, real estate, litigation and risk management issues
