
Attorney Tae Ethan Choi focuses on Elder Law, Medicaid law, long-term care cost planning, trust formation, estate administration, senior medical crisis management and asset preservation.
He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at City University of New York where he teaches Elder Law. In his practice, Mr. Choi concentrates on designing individualized solutions that are tailored to meet the specific needs of his clients.
Mr. Choi began his professional career in 1998; first as a CPA and then as an attorney. While working as a corporate attorney, he continued his long-term commitment to volunteer work. This eventually led him to pursue a career in Elder Law where he can make a difference in the lives of seniors.
The New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Department of Health Services and the Nassau County Bar Association have recognized his pro bono work. He is appointed by judges of the Supreme Court of the State of New York to serve as Court Evaluator in guardianship cases involving seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other serious ailments.
His legal columns are published in numerous newspapers and he appears on radio and television programs. He also serves as a lecturer for attorneys, CPAs, government Medicaid agency officials and staff members, medical professionals, nursing home staff and social workers. He is fluent in English and Korean.
