Tamara B. Pow

Tamara B. Pow is a reputed business and real estate lawyer in San Jose, California. She is the founding partner of the law firm Strategy Law, LLP, which she founded in the year 2014.

She served as the chairperson of the Cupertino Public Safety Commission from 2008 to 2012. She was the officer at the Commercial Real Estate Women during 2005 – 2013.

She has taken the first-hand experience as a business owner by founding Structure Law Group, LLP in San Jose in 2005 and growing it from a two-person law firm to a seven-attorney firm. This experience helps her in effectively assisting other business owners with their legal needs.

She worked as an attorney in the Corporate Advice & Transactions Department of the law firm Hopkins & Carley during 1997 – 2005 and also headed its Tax Practice Group.

She obtained her Juris Doctorate in Law and MBA in business from the University of California at Davis School of Law and Davis Graduate School of Management respectively in 1996. She was a part of MBA Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma. She obtained the license to practice law in the state of California in the same year.

Before starting her law practice, she worked as a tax consultant at Price Waterhouse LLP for two years from 1995 to 1997. While working there, she focused on business planning issues, individual & corporate tax returns, tax controversies, and IRS & FTB audit.

Tamara B. Pow earned her Bachelor’s of Arts with major in Sociology from the University of California in Los Angeles in 1992. She was a part of the honor society Phi Beta Kappa while studying there.
