Tanya K. Canup is a senior staff attorney with the firm’s E-Discovery practice, King & Spalding’s solution providing, cost-effective and centralized discovery services. Her practice focuses on the electronic discovery process, including document preservation, collection, review, and production.
In her role, Tanya works with clients to develop records management policies as well as records retention schedules. She also advises clients on the implementation and management of the litigation hold process. Tanya assists clients with drafting and revising of IT and mobile device policies, including BYOD issues.
She also handles the preservation and collection of social media data. She regularly conducts custodian collection interviews to assist with the identification, preservation and collection of relevant data.
Tanya provides advice and counsel regarding the vendor selection process as well as helping with the design, development, and implementation of a new discovery tool. She works closely with vendors to customize work flow and document organization to increase efficiency and performance.
Tanya has over ten years’ experience in pre-trial discovery matters in commercial, pharmaceutical, and product liability litigation, as well as governmental investigations, including Congressional Committees, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, various State Attorneys General, the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and United States Department of Justice.
