Taylor P. Widawski is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for European data protection law (CIPP/E) and U.S. private-sector privacy law (CIPP/US). Taylor’s practice focuses on privacy law and complex commercial litigation. Taylor has experience drafting and advising on consumer-facing agreements, including privacy policies and terms of service.
She also provides strategic advice on risk mitigation and compliance under various U.S. and international privacy laws and consumer protection statutes. Taylor also has experience defending against consumer class actions involving claims brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and consumer fraud statutes as well as general litigation experience with an emphasis on Internet and technology related matters.
Taylor earned her law degree from Washington University School of Law, where she served as an executive editor of the Washington University Law Review and was the recipient of the Orthwein Scholar in Law Award.
During law school, Taylor gained valuable exposure to privacy and technology-related issues, including courses in information privacy, civil liberties in cyberspace, as well as participating in supervised research on the intersect between law and artificial intelligence.
Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor as a summer associate, Taylor was a law clerk in the General Counsel Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Taylor received her undergraduate degree in both philosophy and political science from the University of Washington in Seattle.
