
Terry E. Sanchez is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. He focuses his practice on employment litigation defense, including class and collective actions, wrongful discharge, discrimination and sexual harassment actions, and other employment related lawsuits in state and federal courts. Mr. Sanchez also provides advice on a wide range of employment and labor laws and conducts internal investigations into alleged executive misconduct.
He has handled employment litigation for, among other clients, Amgen USA, Inc., Delta Air Lines, Inc., Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, Wells Fargo & Co., Southern California Edison, Fidelity Investments, Verizon California, Inc., Western Assets Company, City National Bank, Raytheon, DoubleLine Capital, LP, Oaktree Capital Management, Carrington Mortgage Services, Guardsmark, Inc., Arctic Slope Regional Corporation and Warner Bros.
Mr. Sanchez was named to the Daily Journal’s list of “Top Labor and Employment Lawyers” in California from 2010 through 2014. He is also ranked Band 1 in Chambers USA as a “leading lawyer” for labor and employment litigation. He has also been named to Human Resource Executive’s List of the “Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” in 2013 and 2014.
Mr. Sanchez previously served on the board of directors of the East Los Angeles Remarkable Citizens Association (“EL ARCA”) which provides educational, rehabilitative and housing services to the severely developmentally disabled. He also has provided legal advice and representation on a pro bono basis to El Proyecto Del Barrio, Inc., a non-profit corporation that provides medical services, job training and other services to the poor. Mr. Sanchez is the recipient of El Proyecto’s “Compadre Sponsorship Award” given in recognition of lifetime support to the organization.
Mr. Sanchez is a Fellow of the College of Employment and Labor Lawyers. He is also a past member of the executive committee of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
