Theodore Arthur Woerthwein is a highly experienced attorney and partner at the law firm Woerthwein & Miller located in Chicago, Illinois. He focuses on practice areas such as personal injury, wrongful death, birth injury, medical practice, and foreclosure.

He filed a class action suit against the City of Chicago when it failed to properly install and maintain curb ramps that people with limited mobility use when crossing streets. It is a violation of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.
The lawsuit resulted in the city entering into a consent order that forced the City to install and repair ramps whenever it repaired streets. The city also had to spend $10,000,000.00 a year for five years to bring the City’s curb ramps into compliance with federal law.
Before becoming the partner of the law firm Woerthwein & Miller in 1983, he served as a Litigation Counsel at the Quaker Oats Company since 1975. He was Felony Trial Attorney at the Illinois Cook County from 1971 to 1975, and on Active Duty in the United States Army during 1965 – 1968.
Theodore Arthur Woerthwein obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the years 1965 and 1970 respectively.
