Therese M. Finan focuses on clients’ patent and trademark needs. She advises clients on the development and protection of their IP portfolios through all phases of the patent process, including the application prosecution, reexamination, reissue, patentability, infringement and validity opinions, IP audits, due diligence, grant proceedings and litigation.
She also has a deep background in biomedical research fields, such as biochemistry, cell biology and immunology. This background enables her to assist clients in various fields, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, nanotechnology and medical devices.
Early in her career, Therese gained experience in the public policy arena serving as a policy analyst and representative for the governor of Pennsylvania. She also worked as the director of research and programs for a prominent health care institute based in Washington, D.C.
