Therese M. Reyes focuses her practice in the area of real estate, finance and capital markets, and related commercial litigation. She has experience representing financial institutions in connection with non-performing commercial loans and the exercise of remedies including judicial foreclosures, receiverships, workouts, and other litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Reyes worked as an associate with a law firm in Hicksville, New York, where she represented lending institutions and individuals in residential real estate transactions. Previously, Ms. Reyes was of counsel to a law firm in Astoria, New York, where she represented clients in various types of commercial litigation.
Ms. Reyes was retained by a major title company to represent property owners, lenders, and other lienors in various types of title defense claims including fraudulent deeds and mortgages, boundary disputes, bar claim actions, quiet title actions, lien priority disputes, and adverse possession claims. Additionally, Ms. Reyes represented a national commercial leasing company in commercial replevin, collection matters, and judgment enforcement proceedings.
