Thomas Cassidy began his legal career in Washington DC and serves as of counsel at our Washington DC office. Having served as an enforcement attorney for a federal banking regulator, he handled civil and criminal trials in numerous venues throughout the country.
Tom then went on to advise clients with governmental, legislative and regulatory issues at the federal and state level. The industries Tom has represented have been in the environmental, transportation, financial services and healthcare areas.
Prior to joining us, Tom worked as in-house counsel to a large international engineering firm where he helped establish the public-private partnership practice. He has worked on US Army Corps of Engineers environmental approvals, along with Environmental Protection Agency finance programs. Tom’s work has included the planning, procuring, negotiating, contracting, permitting and financing of projects.
In addition, he has advised clients on a wide array of matters surrounding water and waste projects. Tom has represented clients before many federal agencies such as the EPA, HHS, FTC and the CFPB. In addition to his work at the federal level, Tom routinely appears before state agencies, municipal boards and councils on behalf of clients.
