
Thomas (Tom) Reynolds is Counsel in the Labor & Employment department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. His practice focuses on defending employers against single-plaintiff claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on sex, race, national origin, age, religion, pregnancy, disability, and other protected characteristics.
Mr. Reynolds has experience representing employers in federal and state courts, administrative agency investigations, arbitrations, and mediations. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies, as well as small- and medium-sized employers, in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and staffing services.
Having served as both in-house and outside counsel, Mr. Reynolds also has experience conducting and advising on workplace investigations, drafting severance agreements and releases, reviewing and drafting personnel policies and employee handbooks, and advising management and HR partners with respect to terminations, accommodation and leave issues, large-scale reorganizations and reductions in force, employee classification, and other workplace concerns.
While at the Washington University School of Law, Mr. Reynolds clerked for the Honorable Frederick J. Buckles, U.S. District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri. Mr. Reynolds is a Wood Badge trained Boy Scout leader and has served on the staff of six Wood Badge training courses in the Northeast Georgia Council. And, although his Dutch and French are not as good as they used to be, Mr. Reynolds welcomes any opportunity to practice.
