Tom Keane, a non-lawyer, is a senior advisor to the firm’s Insurance, Corporate and Public Policy practices. Tom has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry. At the firm, Tom provides strategic advice to business leaders in the insurance, financial services and other industries on a range of business, political risk and economic regulatory issues.
He also helps clients around the world identify and execute on strategic business development objectives and market access challenges. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, he held leadership positions at two of the insurance industry’s leading companies, Marsh & McLennan and AIG.
At Marsh, Tom was a Managing Partner for strategic global business development. At Marsh, he created and led the firm’s Global Risk Advisory Panel, which included former US Secretary of State Madeline Albright, former US HUD Secretary Jack Kemp, former US Representative William Gray, former SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt and others.
At AIG, Tom served as a Vice President of Marketing where he played a significant role in the formation of strategic joint ventures and in the design, implementation and marketing of risk finance insurance programs.
He speaks regularly on the subject of poltical risks and asset recovery at insurance and risk management industry events around the world, including a United Nations Leadership Forum convened by (then) U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
