Thomas Clinkscales is an associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Group. His practice focuses on the representation of debtors, creditors, fiduciaries and other parties in cases under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Clinkscales also advises clients regarding out-of-court workouts and insolvency, bankruptcy-related and commercial litigation matters.
Mr. Clinkscales received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, he served as technology editor for the South Carolina Law Review and received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in nine courses, including Bankruptcy, Securities Regulation and Federal Courts.
He also served as a Civil Procedure tutor and as a research assistant. Mr. Clinkscales received his B.A. in English literature from Furman University in 2012.
