She has dedicated her legal career to providing a voice to people seeking justice and fairness. She served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Mark R. Abel of the United States Southern District Court of Ohio while studying at the law school.
She attended the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University and obtained her law degree in the year 2008. She won the Best Oral Advocate Award in American Bar Association Moot Court Regional Competition in 2007-2008. She previously completed Bachelor’s of Science from the Ohio University.
After earning her Juris Doctorate and obtaining admission to the State Bar of Indiana, she started serving as a Deputy Attorney General and represented the state of Indiana in criminal appeals.
Tiffany N. Travillion successfully argued in favor of establishing a new precedent in Indiana before the Indiana Court of Appeals, while working as a Deputy. This new precedent does not allow non-parental custodians to use the defense of corporal punishment.
She obtained admission to the California State Bar as well as the United States Northern and Central District Courts of California in the year 2010.
She has since then passionately represented California residents in a wide range of legal matters such as wage & labor violations claims against employers, foreclosure defense, consumer bankruptcy, landlord & tenant issues, etc.
She routinely helps individuals and small business owners protect against liability by drafting relevant documents. She courageously fights cases against legal giants, and her clients are confident of her commitment and dedication. She ensures to see each case through to a reasonable and fair resolution.
The National Association of Distinguished Counsel recognized her and selected her among the Top One Percent of Attorneys. National Black Lawyers awarded her the Top 40 Under 40 award in 2015. American Bar Association Regional Competition granted her the 5th Place Best Advocate Award in 2008.
Tiffany Travillion is a member of professional associations such as the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, International Women’s Leadership Association and National Association of Professional Women since 2015.
She obtained the membership of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce in 2010 and 2014 respectively.
She is also a former member of Beverly Hills Bar Foundation and the John M. Langston Bar Association. In 2017, she became a member of the California Association of Black Lawyers.
She joined the law firm Girardi & Keese as a Contract Attorney in 2010 and simultaneously served as an Of Counsel at the Financial Relief Law Center until 2011. She worked with the Law Offices of P. Rodriguez as a Managing Attorney in 2011 – 2012.
She owned the law firm Romine Law and practiced from there from 2013 to 2015. She founded the Travillion Law Group, APC in 2015 and currently serves as its President.
