Timothy Watson is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. He has experience representing clients in a variety of patent disputes in district court, before the U.S. International Trade Commission, and in arbitration involving a wide range of technologies, including network equipment, LED products, barcode readers, telecommunications, and mobile devices.
He counsels clients on pre-litigation diligence, validity and enforceability investigations, and licensing. Tim has also defended clients against copyright, trade secret, and commercial claims.
Tim earned his J.D. in 2013 at The Ohio State University, graduating magna cum laude, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he served as note and comment editor for The Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution and treasurer of the Ohio State University Public Interest Law Foundation. He received his B.S. in systems and control engineering at Case Western Reserve University in 2009.
