Tracy D. Rubin is a partner in the technology transactions practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Palo Alto office. Tracy focuses on complex intellectual property transactions, such as technology asset carve-outs, spinouts, patent portfolio acquisitions, and technology mergers and acquisitions.
She also advises clients on initial public offerings, strategic investments, and a wide range of licensing matters, including settlement agreements, university licensing agreements, joint development agreements, and other agreements pertaining to technology licensing, development, and distribution.
Tracy supports clients through all stages of growth, ranging from small start-ups licensing technology to help start and grow their business to large public companies seeking targeted advice on unique technology transactions matters. She has experience in a variety of technology-driven industries, including hardware, software, semiconductors, energy and clean technology, e-commerce, media, and Internet.
Tracy previously practiced in the firm’s intellectual property litigation department, and she is currently a member of the firm’s Associates, Pro Bono, Recruiting, and Community Service Committees, as well as the chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Task Force.
