Travis J. Nemmer graduated magna cum laude from the University at Buffalo where he was elected President of the undergraduate student body. He received his J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law, where he was elected as the President of the Criminal Law Society and has had academic pieces published in the Criminal Law Practitioner.
Mr. Nemmer also received multiple awards for his brief writing and oral arguments at the Catholic University Immigration Moot Court Competition.
Prior to joining the law firm as an attorney, Mr. Nemmer has also worked as a law clerk at Jezic & Moyse, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, and the King’s County District Attorney’s Special Victims Division in Brooklyn, New York. During this time, he worked on prosecuting both major felony cases as well as misdemeanor sexual offenses and child abuse cases.
Mr. Nemmer has also dedicated himself to volunteering in the community. He has served as the Treasurer of the Equal Justice Foundation, provided over four hundred hours of pro-bono legal work through law school, and received a Pro-Bono Service award from American University.
Mr. Nemmer is licensed to practice law in Maryland, and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
