Tushar P. Vaidya is an associate in the eDiscovery and Information Governance practice group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Chicago office. Mr. Vaidya has extensive knowledge and experience in advising Fortune 100 companies across a variety of industries on the defensible collection, processing, review and production of electronic documents.
Mr. Vaidya has advised financial services, automotive, construction and technology companies. He has extensive experience responding to government and third party subpoenas. He has also represented clients in antitrust, construction, discrimination, franchisor/franchisee, misclassification, and trade secret misappropriation disputes, among others.
Mr. Vaidya has a background in information systems and combines that background with extensive legal knowledge to be an asset to clients. Mr. Vaidya also has significant experience in managing forensic inquiries in conjunction with internal investigations, government inquiries, employment disputes, and trade secret misappropriation cases.
Mr. Vaidya strives to understand client and case objectives, preferences, and budgets before developing a strategy to respond to often overbroad discovery requests. Mr. Vaidya is an aggressive advocate for his clients while also understanding the principles of cooperation and proportionality when negotiating with opposing parties. Mr. Vaidya’s practice is driven by his desire to ensure the best results for his clients in a defensible manner at the lowest possible cost.
Mr. Vaidya has considerable experience assessing discovery obligations and tailoring cost-effective and legally defensible strategies to meet these obligations. Mr. Vaidya learns and masters new technology to achieve these goals. Accordingly, Mr. Vaidya is an expert managing Continuous Active Learning (“CAL”) to review documents and respond to discovery.
