Ty Dedmon has a diverse litigation practice representing a variety of industries in state and federal court across the country, with a particular focus on healthcare providers. His experience also includes coordination and execution of complex, large-scale discovery and data security engagements.
In the area of personal injury claims, Ty regularly represents physicians, nurses, and hospitals in medically complex professional liability actions and was part of a trial team that obtained a defense verdict for Monsanto Company against several thousand personal injury claims related to alleged exposure to PCBs.
His commercial litigation experience regularly includes disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, and misappropriation of trade secrets on behalf of healthcare providers, as well as defending fraud and abuse claims by government payers under the False Claims Act and Medicare Secondary Payer Act.
Ty also regularly seeks time-sensitive injunctive relief on behalf of closely held businesses undergoing ownership changes and employers enforcing restrictive covenants.
Ty’s diverse litigation experience has provided him the opportunity to lead and implement discovery strategies in mass torts actions involving prescription and over-the-counter medications, numerous government investigations, and over 40 coordinated hotel occupancy tax disputes across the country.
He currently leads the firm’s e-discovery task force and regularly advises clients on strategies for combining legal counsel and technology solutions to achieve litigation goals.
