Ursula Barrios received her Bacherlor of Arts in International Relations with a Minor in Biology from the University of California at Irvine.
She was admitted to practice law in the summer of 2008 and began to volunteer as an attorney pro bono for The Orange County Public Law Center, helping dozens of less-privileged clients with their legal issues.
In 2008, Mrs. Barrios started her own law practice in Los Angeles. Her caring qualities and dedication to learning the law made her very popular among her clients from the outset. Her Los Angeles office grew exponentially and within one year, Ms. Barrios was attorney to close to 500 bankruptcy clients, a feat quite rare for most new attorneys with little experience.
Ms. Barrios literally learned her profession while on the job and the courts, where she would frequent. Through much trial and very little error, Mrs. Barrios made sure the clients that hired her received what they expected and she did so with exceptional charm and competence.
In the fall of 2009, Mrs. Barrios branched out to Orange County and continued with the same success, helping each client with personal attention and a commitment to excellent legal representation.
In the spring of 2010, her now husband, Attorney Guillermo Machado, joined the law firm and together they formed Barrios & Machado, LLP, offering aggressive representation in a variety of legal areas (with an emphasis in bankruptcy law).
Today, Mrs. Barrios’ (Barrios & Machado) reputation with the bankruptcy courts of Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside Counties is of the highest order. She is well-respected throughout the legal community and is regarded in the courts as an attorney of high legal standard and competency. It is this valuable experience that serves B&M’s clients well.
