Vernon “Phil” Hill is an associate in the Gordon & Rees Atlanta office and has over a decade of experience representing companies throughout all stages of complex civil litigation. He devotes the majority of his practice to business/commercial litigation, asbestos litigation and general liability defense matters.
Mr. Hill represents public and privately held entities and their principals in business-related disputes. Mr. Hill has defended and prosecuted a variety of complex commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, unfair business practices, fraud, garnishments and theft. He focuses on a broad array of industries including healthcare providers, telecommunications companies, manufacturers, banks, and service companies.
Mr. Hill has defended a variety of businesses, including retailers, contractors, restaurants, public entities, commercial property owners, and individuals in self-insured and insured claims and lawsuits under general liability insurance policies including personal injuries (from slip and falls to catastrophic/wrongful death), assault and battery, premises liability, property damage, government entity liability, trespass and nuisance, and motor vehicle/commercial automobile.
Mr. Hill has extensive experience litigating high-exposure, multi-million dollar cases involving catastrophic injuries and/or wrongful death. Mr. Hill has represented many national and international corporations in the defense of asbestos litigation claims including manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, contractors, business owners and other businesses in multi-party litigation and has defended dozens of living mesothelioma cases, many of which were granted preferential trial setting.
