Walter Ray Dahl

Walter Ray Dahl, the firm’s founder, earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1981, where he also was a member of the UCLA Law Review. He had earned his Bachelor of Arts degree three years earlier at the University of the Pacific—where, he is proud to note, his and his sister Candy’s parents had met and fallen in love as students.

Since 1998, Walter has been teaching, as an adjunct professor, Bankruptcy, Secured Transactions and Sales & Leases of Goods at Pacific/McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. He has also taught commercial law at Lincoln Law School and lectured widely on bankruptcy and secured transactions, among other topics.

In 2001, Walter was instrumental in helping establish Viet Nam’s first personal property secured transactions filing system. He had traveled to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on behalf of the National Registration Agency of Secured Transactions, a newly formed department of the republic’s Ministry of Justice.

Walter Dahl believes deeply in public service and contributing to his community. His activities have included active membership in Rotary International, serving as president of Rotary Club of Sacramento from 2006-2007, and serving as an auctioneer for charitable events.
