Warren Tillery grew up in the rural North Central Florida town of Melrose. In 2011, he graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. Following college, he attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University where he earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2014.

During law school, Mr. Tillery was a member of the Mercer Law Review, served as chairman of the moot court executive board for the Mercer Advocacy Council, and competed in both moot court and mock trial.

In 2014, he competed in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition where his team won a regional championship and advanced to the National Quarterfinals as one of the top eight teams in the country for moot court. The team also won a National Best Brief Award (fifth place) in that competition.

During his final year of law school, Mr. Tillery was inducted into the national Order of Barristers. In addition, he served as president of the Mercer Second Amendment Society and vice president of the Student Trial Lawyers Association.

Prior to becoming an associate at Smith, Welch, Webb, and White, he clerked with the firm and also worked for a judge in the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. His practice areas now include: local governments and public sector entities; residential and commercial real estate; zoning matters and litigation; eminent domain/condemnation; environmental law; business and commercial law; and, health care law.

When he is not advocating for his clients, he enjoys the outdoors. Mr. Tillery is also an eagle scout and a former soccer referee who officiated games at the collegiate, professional, and national team level.
