With more than 30 years of experience, William N. Barnes is a veteran corporate lawyer who focuses on all aspects of commercial lending on the borrower side and lender side, including direct lending, syndicated credit facilities, mortgage lending, mezzanine financing, term and working capital facilities.
Bill has represented lenders in many of the largest agribusiness financing transactions in Florida. Bill also has extensive experience involving acquisitions and sales of agricultural properties and commercial real estate properties including citrus groves, citrus processing plants, office buildings and multi-family projects.
Prior to rejoining Akerman, Bill was the chief executive officer of a vertically integrated group of agribusiness companies that were engaged in growing, managing, and marketing Florida citrus and exporting fresh Florida citrus to the Pacific Rim and Europe.
