William Feldman represents clients in a wide range of appellate matters. As a former federal law clerk at both the district and appellate level, Will has a keen insight into how judges think and uses that knowledge to formulate arguments that focus on the issues that matter most. Whether called on to defend or to challenge a lower court judgment, Will advances his client’s best positions through concise and persuasive legal arguments.
As an associate in the Appellate Practice Group, Will has helped to author legal briefs on behalf of Fortune 500 companies and other clients on a wide variety of topics, including arbitration, maritime law, bankruptcy, patent law, and sovereign immunity.
Will has also argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and has appeared before a number of state and federal trial courts on a range of legal matters.
In addition to his experience in court, Will has written articles on appellate procedure, and has served as an instructor at the 2014 Advanced Civil Appellate Practice Course presented by the State Bar of Texas. Will is active in the community as well, serving on the firm’s United Way Associates Committee and helping to organize the firm’s fundraising efforts.
Before joining Haynes and Boone, Will served as a law clerk to the Honorable Carolyn Dineen King of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Before that, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Janis Graham Jack of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Prior to his clerkships, Mr. Feldman worked as an associate at White & Case LLP in Washington, D.C., where he practiced international arbitration and litigation.
