William F. Patty was born in Anniston, Alabama, and received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1985. Bill graduated summa cum laude from Cumberland School of Law in 1990. While attending Cumberland, Bill was an associate editor of the Cumberland Law Review and received the award of Curia Honoris.
Bill has practiced law for over 24 years. His practice is primarily in the areas of education, administrative, labor and employment law as well as civil litigation. Also, Bill represents professionals and businesses before their licensing and certification agencies and boards.
Bill maintains memberships in the Alabama and Montgomery County Bar Associations. Bill is currently a Master of the Bench in the Hugh Maddox Inn of Court. Bill is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest ranking provided by that organization, based upon peer review by other lawyers and judges.
Bill is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Alabama, including the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama. Bill is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
