
Mr. William I. Goldberg is a partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. A seasoned trial lawyer with more than 40 years of experience, Mr. Goldberg has represented a wide array of clients before state and federal trial courts, appellate courts, administrative agencies, and alternative dispute resolution forums throughout the United States.
Mr. Goldberg has successfully resolved complex claims and class actions involving professional liability, shareholder rights, partnership disputes, contractual issues, employment matters, fiduciary responsibilities, fraud, insurance coverage, real estate, interpretation of wills and trusts, securities law, engineering, antitrust, and much more.
His clients include individuals, public and private companies, and entrepreneurs in industries including food processing, information technology, insurance, management consulting, manufacturing, and real estate.
Mr. Goldberg served as Counsel to the Governor of Illinois from 1973 to 1976. He is a former member of the Advisory Commission to the Attorney General of the State of Illinois (Executive Committee) and served as a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee regarding proposed mediation rule for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division in 2005.
