William Henry McKenzie IV

William McKenzie practices out of Birmingham, AL and handles cases in Litigation, Business, Insurance, Defective and Dangerous Products. This attorney attended University of Mississippi School of Law and has been licensed for 13 years.

William McKenzie is licensed in Alabama and Mississippi but litigates cases around the nation. William serves as outside general counsel for a large corporation and coordinates litigation throughout the United States. He loves practicing law like his father did and enjoys bringing cost-effective solutions to clients in a wide variety of high-stakes litigation. When cases cannot be resolved quickly, William relies on his trial and appellate experience to try cases in state and federal courts or before arbitration panels. William has a lot of experience with insurance coverage disputes and has defended many insurance companies in bad faith cases. So he and his firm understand the importance of being efficient with defense costs, providing excellent communication, and focusing efforts on the leverage points of each case to reach a prompt solution.

William made partner at NWKT in 2012 after his passion for excellence helped reach many favorable results for NWKT’s clients. William has been selected seven times as a “Rising Star” by Alabama Super Lawyers® magazine. He has been quoted and featured in publications by the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute and Business Alabama magazine. He serves on the Trial Tactics and Damages Committee of the Defense Research Institute and regularly speaks at legal seminars across North America.

William is very happily married, a proud father of three children, and loves serving in his church. In his spare time, William coaches his kids’ sports teams and enjoys hunting and fly fishing.  He lives every day with great joy.
