
William (Bill) Berkowitz is a partner in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP where he serves as co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust Practice Group. He is a trial lawyer with over 30 years’ experience representing a wide range of companies in distribution, pricing, franchise, and other commercial matters.
Mr. Berkowitz’s practice spans across many industries, including automotive, technology, health care, life sciences, aviation, retail, hospitality, and insurance, among others. He has litigated and won cases in state and federal courts in New York, Massachusetts, California, Texas, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Maryland.
An experienced appellate lawyer, Mr. Berkowitz has argued appeals in several state supreme courts, courts of appeal, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Third, Fourth, Eighth and Eleventh Circuits. He serves as U.S. antitrust counsel to a number of national and international firms.
Beyond litigation, Mr. Berkowitz routinely consults with clients on compliance with federal and state antitrust laws, state franchise laws, and the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.
