William Thomas Tanner has a rich experience of 24 years in the practice of areas such as Real estate, Family, Debt collection, Landlord, Litigation, and Bankruptcy. He also has 21 years of experience as a college instructor.
He has set up the Law Offices of William T. Tanner. He is Director Clinic and Pro Bono Programs at the Veterans Legal Institute in Santa Ana, CA and Executive Director at the Consortium on Access to Justice.
He serves as an adjunct professor at the University of California in Irvine since 1997. He was the Directing Attorney of the Legal Aid Society of Orange County from 1996 to 2017.
He was Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Santa Ana College and Adjunct Faculty at the Mount San Antonio College during 2011-2016 and 1997-2013.
The Chapman Law School honored him with M. Katherine Baird Darmer Commitment to Public Service Award and the College of Law Practice Management awarded him a fellowship, in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
William T. Tanner started his legal career by serving as a Staff Attorney at the California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. from 1994 to 1996. He attended the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific and obtained his Juris Doctorate in the year 1994.
He won Alumni Scholarship and Gary V. Schaber Scholarship while at the law school and received BNA Law Student Award from the Bureau of National Affairs in 1994.
Before studying law, he completed his Bachelor’s of Arts in Law & Society and Philosophy from the University of California in Riverside in the year 1991.
William Tanner has obtained memberships of professional associations such as State Bar of California, California Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, California Bureau of Real Estate, and American Bar Association.
