Wyatt Beazley can help companies in this industry to ensure that their businesses continue running smoothly. Wyatt Beazley joined Williams Mullen in 1992 and provides the firm with significant transactional and corporate experience in relation to health care providers and other ancillary service providers. Health care providers and other ancillary service providers face many unique challenges when it comes to regulations and laws, not to mention business transactions.
Wyatt represents a wide range of provider clients, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health agencies, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging centers, sleep labs, physician group practices and retail clinics. Wyatt also works with many clients that provide services to, or work closely with, provider clients, including management services organizations and technology companies.
The primary focus of Wyatt’s practice is negotiating and structuring health care transactions and advising clients on the applicability of various federal and state health care laws and regulations. His projects often involve providing advice in the following areas: entity formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and licensure.
Wyatt’s goal with all of his clients is to develop a long-term relationship based on trust and respect. He knows that in selecting an attorney his clients have many good options from which to choose and that health law experience and industry knowledge, by themselves, do not guarantee a satisfied client.
Wyatt takes pride in being a good listener so that he can learn as much as possible about his client’s business and industry and develop a common sense approach to resolve the issues that concern his client. Wyatt’s emphasis on client service and efficient, common sense advice has led to many long-term client relationships.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in 1989 and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1992. While in law school, he was the associate editor of the University of Richmond Law Review (1991-92) and a member of the McNeill Law Society.
He also received the American Jurisprudence Awards for the highest grades in contracts and creditors’ rights. Wyatt believes strongly in giving back to his community. He served as the chairman of the VBA’s Young Lawyer Division, Minority Recruitment Committee for the Richmond area from 1995 to 1999.
He is the immediate past chair of the board for The Doorways, a hospitality house located in Richmond. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Greater Richmond YMCA. Wyatt is also a member of Williams Mullen’s board of directors and serves as its general counsel.
