Yanet Y. Cordero is an associate in Pillsbury’s San Francisco office, where she focuses on general corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings, corporate governance, venture capital financings, as well as other transactional matters.
During law school, Yanet participated in the Asylum and Convention Against Torture Appellate Clinic, where she co-authored a successful persuasive appellate brief with the Board of Immigration Appeals in a case involving religious persecution in Benin, Africa. The Board of Immigration Appeals remanded the case largely on the strength of the brief.
Additionally, Yanet was an Honors Fellow for Cornell’s legal research and writing program. Yanet also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Charles R. Breyer in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Yanet was a visiting student at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she participated in a student negotiation team that negotiated a complex supply agreement with student teams from Stanford Law School.
Yanet also served as a Managing Editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal. Prior to law school, Yanet learned the inner workings of public school (K-12) administration.
