Yekaterina Chernyak is a senior associate in our Financial Restructuring / Bankruptcy & Insolvency and Alternative Capital and Debt Funds Groups. Her practice focuses on advising and representing a diverse range of clients, including private equity groups, companies, hedge funds, financial institutions, ad-hoc creditor groups, official creditors’ committees, and other significant parties-in-interest in complex in-court and out-of-court restructuring, work-out, and reorganization transactions.
Katya also regularly advises funds and institutional clients in connection with their individual distressed investments and strategies.
Katya’s practice spans a number of industries, including automotive, communications, chemical and industrial materials, healthcare, retail, and transportation.
Prior to joining King & Spalding, Katya was a senior associate with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP. Katya started her practice advising financial institutions in connection with structured and leveraged financing transactions.
