
Yuhan (Alice) Chi is an associate in Venable’s Commercial Litigation Practice in the San Francisco office. During law school, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Haywood S. Gilliam, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, where she conducted legal research and drafted orders for cross-motions for summary judgment, motion to dismiss, and default judgement.
She was also a law clerk for the San Mateo County Counsel, where she researched and wrote memoranda on civil issues ranging from employment rights to public property dedications, prepared motions in liminefor ongoing litigation, and drafted deposition summary for litigation risk assessment.
Prior to law school, Alice was a team leader for the Bay Area JusticeCorps, where she guided pro se parties in completing legal forms in family and civil claims. She also served as a civil liberties intake intern for the ACLU of New Jersey, where she reviewed and analyzed complaints and requests for legal representation.
