Zach Nemtzow is an associate who focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, post grant proceedings and patent litigation. Mr. Nemtzow handles matters in a wide range of technology fields including data storage, telecommunications networks, mobile devices, semiconductors and consumer products.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Nemtzow was a patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined applications related to optical waveguides and liquid crystal displays.
As a physics student, Mr. Nemtzow worked as an undergraduate researcher, helping to develop data analysis algorithms for detecting gravitational waves from binary black hole coalescence.
While in law school, Mr. Nemtzow was a semifinalist in and problem writer for the William Minor Lile Intramural Moot Court Competition and a member of the Extramural Moot Court Team. He also participated in the Patent and Licensing Clinic through the University of Virginia Licensing & Ventures Group.
