From an early age, Zack Wilson knew that he wanted to dedicate himself to helping people effect a positive change in their lives. Zack grew up in Southern California and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
There he realized his true passion was in working with people. In just three years he graduated with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy.
After earning his bachelor’s degree, Zack went to work for a worker’s compensation firm, and while his experience at that firm taught him about obtaining legal justice for individuals, Zack realized that rather than winning money judgments, he wanted to dedicate his legal career to helping families.
Zack set his sights on Texas, and was accepted to SMU Dedman School of Law on a Dean’s Scholarship. As a law student at SMU, Zack accumulated practical experience that readied him for a career in family law.
He interned for the Honorable Martin Hoffman in the 68th Civil District Court, honed his legal writing and research skills interning in the legal department of a multinational corporation, and volunteered in the Family Violence Division of the Dallas District Attorney’s Office.
During his final year at SMU Law School, Zack clerked at a family law firm where he began to develop expertise in legal issues that often arise in divorce, custody, and child support cases.
After graduation, Zack and his wife, also an SMU law graduate, relocated to Houston. They spend their free time exploring Houston’s outstanding restaurant scene.
