Adam Shevell is a partner in WSGR’s technology transactions practice, where he advises technology companies and their investors at all stages of company development, from pioneering start-ups to leading global enterprises, angel investors, venture capital firms, and other institutions in the start-up ecosystem.
By understanding his clients’ products, markets, and business priorities, and by building deep and lasting relationships, Adam is able to provide pragmatic legal advice that delivers effective results.
Adam works with technology companies located in the U.S. and internationally, including the Bay Area, New York City, Los Angeles, the Pacific Northwest, China, and Europe. He regularly advises Canadian start-ups on U.S. expansion, fundraising, strategic partnerships, and exit transactions.
Adam routinely advises companies in the autonomous vehicle and connected mobility space, counseling software and hardware providers, autonomous vehicle developers, and data processors on matters such as strategic partnerships with major auto makers, proof-of-concept arrangements, autonomous vehicle fleet service agreements, LiDAR development agreements, and data licenses.
Adam also works with clients operating in many other industries, including digital health, fintech, autonomous vehicles, on-demand services, cryptocurrency, software-as-a-service (SaaS), social media, enterprise software, network security, consumer Internet and mobile apps, augmented and virtual reality, cloud computing, clean energy technology, hardware manufacturing, online travel services and hospitality, software development, big data analytics, quantum computing, entertainment, e-commerce, mobile security, online and mobile video games, digital advertising, and product design.
Prior to joining the firm, Adam was an associate in the intellectual property transactions group and corporate department at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York, where he worked with companies in the media, communications, and technology industries, among others.
