Alan M. Pate is an associate in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s technology transactions practice, where he focuses on the drafting and negotiation of commercial and intellectual property contracts, such as software, software-as-a-service (SaaS), original equipment manufacturer (OEM), development, outsourcing, application programming interface (API), and service agreements.
He has extensive experience negotiating agreements in the media and advertising technology fields, as well as in the areas of artificial intelligence, open source software, and mobile application development.
Alan also counsels clients on general intellectual property matters, including in the context of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions.Prior to joining the firm, Alan was an associate in the intellectual property transactions group at Baker & Hostetler LLP in New York City.
