Alicia M. Menendez’s practice focuses on complex product liability and commercial litigation, including multijurisdictional matters and those with international components. She also has experience with other kinds of civil litigation, marine insurance defense cases and pro bono family cases.
Alicia currently serves on a team defending more than 7,500 product liability cases filed in Florida by plaintiffs claiming membership in a class action that was decertified by the Florida Supreme Court. Alicia has been responsible for working up cases in the Broward County and Palm Beach County jurisdictions and coordinating certain aspects of the defense of these cases statewide.
Alicia currently serves on The Florida Bar’s Grievance Committee and previously served as chair of The Florida Bar’s Code & Rules of Evidence Committee, chair of its Educational Subcommittee, and program chair and moderator of its annual evidence-related seminars. She has also served as judge of mock trial and negotiations competitions.
