
Angelica L. Novick is an associate and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, where her practice focuses on commercial litigation and business disputes, including non-competes and trade secrets, breaches of contract, white collar defense, employment litigation, and corporate governance and related disputes.
She is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, eDiscovery, Labor & Employment, and Securities Enforcement & Litigation Practices.
Angelica previously worked as a summer associate with Foley. She also worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke of the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida; as a law clerk for Gaebe, Mullen, Antonelli & DiMatteo; as a research assistant to Vice Dean Patrick O. Gudridge at the University of Miami School of Law; and as a dean’s fellow for torts at the University of Miami School of Law.

Angelica graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., 2013), where she was executive editor of the Inter-American Law Review. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami in 2008.

Angelica is a member of the Dade County Bar Association and of the Spellman-Hoeveler Chapter of the American Inns of Court. She is admitted to practice in Florida; before the United States District Court for the Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida; and before the United States Appeals Court for the Eleventh Circuit.
Representative Matters :
- Representing one of the largest health systems in South Florida in a False Claims Act qui tam whistleblower litigation asserting a lack of medical necessity and alleged Stark law violations.
- Obtained a complete defense verdict for Miami based passenger cruise line. Former accounting employee alleged violations of the Florida Private Sector Whistleblower Act. Obtained a complete defense verdict after a jury trial in Florida state court.
- Also obtained a judgment of over a $200,000 plus interest against plaintiff for the employer’s attorneys fees and costs.
