Anna Derewenda has the knowledge and experience to guide you. She has provided international tax consulting and planning services to a diverse group of corporate and pass-through entities within industries including private equity, real estate, financial and insurance services, retail, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
Anna focuses on inbound and outbound international tax issues. Her work has included matters related to the consequences of cross-border taxable and tax-free transactions, inclusion of income under Subpart F and passive foreign investment company rules, withholding obligations and reporting on payments of income and dispositions of U.S. real property interests, permanent establishment questions, application of international income tax treaties to transactions and others.
Anna can offer informed tax counsel on corporate formation, reorganization, liquidations, and distributions as well as merger and acquisition transactions. She serves as the Co-Chair of the TagLaw Tax Group and on the board of directors of the Venture Forum.
Anna received her Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and earned her Juris Doctor from the Hofstra University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. She also has a B.A. in biology from the University of Virginia.
