Asher A. Block is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Life Sciences Practice. Mr. Block focuses on the defense of products liability, medical device, and pharmaceutical actions, including those associated with defect and misrepresentation claims.
Mr. Block is also experienced in complex commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on cases involving premises liability claims. He is skilled in all stages of trial litigation, including arbitrations, depositions, client communications, detailed case analysis and valuation, oral argument, and discovery.
Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, he served as a litigation associate at a law firm in Philadelphia. Before that, Mr. Block was a legal intern for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Complex Litigation Center.
Mr. Block earned his J.D. from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University, where he earned the highest grade in Pre-Trial Advocacy, and CALI Awards in Contract Drafting, and Mediation and Arbitration.
Mr. Block was a contributing editor to the Pennsylvania Personal Injury Litigation Handbook and created a presentation entitled Social Networking and Discovery at a previous law firm. Before attending law school, he worked as a writer for First Report Managed Care, where he bylined dozens of articles.
