Bailey J. Samuel defends clients in product liability and general tort liability matters throughout the country, focusing on surgical devices, automotive products, and fire suppression and alarm systems.
She is part of the Shook team representing Medtronic in matters related to medical technology and surgical equipment. She also handles matters related to fire industrial components and devices and fire protective equipment.
She represents service providers, insurance companies and product manufacturers in catastrophic loss, significant personal injury and wrongful death claims. She also assists and defends clients in white-collar crime cases across the nation.
Bailey is involved in all stages of pretrial and trial matters, including motion practice, depositions and witness preparation.
Working closely with clients and routinely operating under alternative billing arrangements rather than the typical billable hour, Bailey achieves clients’ objectives by employing practical, efficient and strategic litigation tactics.
Before joining Shook, Bailey was a law clerk for Palmer Law Group, LLP, in Topeka, where she worked on medical malpractice and personal injury matters.
During college, she worked as a legal assistant for two firms in Colorado and interned with the Colorado State Alternative Defense Counsel, where she worked with attorneys representing incarcerated clients awaiting trial.
