
Chester Lavester Banks is a general practice attorney throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Chester routinely provides strategic legal counsel to business owners, government agencies, elected officials, professional athletes, entrepreneurs and the general public.
He is the sole owner of BANKS & ASSOCIATES and a member of the Virginia Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Chester is also a member of the Sports Lawyers Association.
In 2012, the Judges of the Prince William County Circuit Court awarded its Trial Attorney of Year Award to Chester. He was also recognized in the Best of Virginia 2012 Supplement of Virginia Living as the “Best Lawyer to Have on Speed Dial.”
Chester is the classic lifelong student. He attended Chowan College and graduated in 1979 with his Associate of the Arts. Chester proceeded to earn a double Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Religious Studies in 1981 from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
His Master’s degree was awarded in 1982 in Public Administration from Golden Gate University located in San Francisco, California. In May of 1987 Chester graduated from George Mason University School of Law with his Jury’s Doctorate.
His experience also includes holding a prestigious position on the admissions committee for George Mason University Schools of Law.
