Daniel Chor’s practice focuses on cross-border corporate and financial transactions, including capital markets offerings, financing and debt restructuring, with an emphasis on Latin America.
Daniel rejoined the firm as an associate in 2014. In 2017 and 2018, he was resident in the firm’s São Paulo office. In 2007 and 2008, he worked as a corporate paralegal in the firm’s New York office, assisting primarily with cross-border transactions in Latin America.
From 2010 to 2011, Daniel worked as an analyst for FGV Projetos, an economic consulting firm affiliated with the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From 2009 to 2010, he served as a non-commissioned officer with the Latin America desk of the Israel Defense Forces’ Strategic Division.
EXPERIENCE:
- Vale S.A., a global mining company, in its corporate reorganization and in various issuances of notes and liability management transactions.
- The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) in the first offering of green bonds by a Brazilian sovereign issuer.
- The initial purchasers in an offering of notes and concurrent cash tender offers for Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional, a Brazilian steel company.
- Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico S.A.B. de C.V., a Mexican airport group with concessions in Mexico and Jamaica, in its U.S. reporting obligations.
