Daniel Diffley is a partner in the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, including class action defense, insurance matters, professional malpractice, trade secrets, commercial disputes and construction/real estate litigation.
As lead trial counsel, he has extensive experience representing Fortune 500 companies at trial, in arbitration proceedings and on appeal. His clients include publicly traded companies, national insurance companies and nationwide hotel chains, in addition to developers, construction companies and individuals in a wide range of commercial disputes.
Mr. Diffley is listed in The Best Lawyers in America©. He is an experienced trial lawyer, and has successfully tried cases in state and federal courts and through arbitration proceedings.
In addition, Mr. Diffley has extensive appellate experience and has represented clients in multiple federal and state appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Diffley received his J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 2000, where he was a member of the Wake Forest University Law Review and Moot Court Board. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in 1996 from the University of Richmond, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
