
Dorothy Brown focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial litigation, arbitration, and judgment enforcement. Dorothy recently assisted on a matter regarding the defense of a medical device company executive charged with wire fraud, conspiracy, felony adulteration, and misbranding.
In these representations she has been involved in fact development, expert witness preparation, and trial preparation. She has also assisted clients with their obligations under US laws related to consumer product safety, including compliance with labeling requirements for imported apparel products.
Dorothy also participates in Steptoe’s pro bono program, providing representation in Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) cases. Prior to joining the firm, Dorothy taught elementary school in Baton Rouge, LA through the Teach for America program.
