Douglas Maddock, Jr.’s practice is focused on complex civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on class actions and product liability litigation. He has served as national, regional and local counsel, litigating cases in state and federal courts throughout the country.
Doug defends toxic tort litigation and class actions, including consumer fraud/deceptive trade practices and medical monitoring cases, and has defended clients in multidistrict litigation.
Among other things, Doug has developed defense themes and strategy, coordinated litigation efforts with firms nationwide, managed high-volume discovery, drafted and argued significant motions, taken numerous depositions and worked with corporate employees and expert witnesses. He has successfully obtained the dismissal of numerous cases through motion practice.
Before law school, Doug served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force for nine years. During his military career, he worked as both an intercontinental ballistic missile launch officer and as a special agent with the Office of Special Investigations. Doug was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, and Francis E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.
