Fabio E. Tarud uses his technical training and litigation experience to advise clients in a wide range of technologies in a variety of intellectual property proceedings. Specifically, Fabio specializes in complex patent litigations concerning a broad range of technologies, including medical devices, lasers, laser-driven light sources, automatic meter reading (ARM), encryption, digital mapping, e-commerce, location-based services, navigation, bandwidth management, mobile phones and other computer-related technologies.
In addition, Fabio handles transactional work, including intellectual property due diligence and licensing, patentability studies, infringement/noninfringement opinions and client counseling in patent and trademark matters. Fabio also has extensive experience evaluating large intellectual property portfolios.
While attending Georgetown University Law Center, Fabio worked at the Harrison Institute for Housing & Community Development clinic, providing low-income individuals with transactional services to purchase, finance and rehabilitate multifamily condos.
