Retired attorney Franci Neely earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas at Austin and practiced law in Texas. Throughout her career as a business litigator and a partner at Susman Godfrey LLP, Neely excelled in a variety of legal matters, including commercial litigation, employment law, and personal injury cases.
Franci Neely’s notable legal skills and expertise were acknowledged by the Houston Bar Association, which awarded her the President’s Award for Outstanding Service in 2006. She also served as the president of the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary in 2011.
Currently, Franci Neely is focusing her considerable expertise and energy on charitable patronage, sitting on the boards of the Moody Center for the Arts and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston — where she co-chairs the Art of the Islamic Worlds subcommittee — and is a co-founder of the Houston Cinema Arts Society. Neely also served on the board of directors for the Houston Symphony and the Houston Zoo.
When not involved in philanthropic endeavors, Neely is an avid world traveler, documenting her goal of visiting every country in the world with her Nikon camera.
